What did you do on your holidays?

I went Chinese and treated  my husband to a trip to Hong Kong (his spiritual home) and China.  All the walking was a test of his recovery.  When he mastered the 400 steps up the hill to the 10000 buddhas (having less rests than me even though he was using a walking stick), I knew all was good. 

Here's to a better year (for everyone)!

If you liked the jade pieces I had last year (see below), wait till you see what I found in China!

Spring has Sprung!

What a beautiful day it is!  The warm weather has inspired me to make some new deisgns.  Summer colours - red, yellow, orange, purple, turquoise ....  What do you think?

International Women's Day

8th March every year is International Women's Day, celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. 

So what will I be doing to celebrate?  Along with thousands of other women I will be running (OK, walking) 5km on Sunday 7th March in the RACQ International Women's Day Fun Run/Walk - this year raising money for Chicks in Pink, Mater Foundation Breast Care Unit.  If you've got nothing else to do, come and join me.  Whatever you decide to do, enjoy you day! 

And remember you can always celebrate being a women at the March Boutique Market on Sunday 14th March.  HeMaKa has penty of jewellery to help you do that - come and have a look!

Finally ....a new camera

I've been dying to show you all my latest creations using the antique silver I found fossicking through the Nizwa markets in Oman....I hope you like them as well.

It's nearly Sunday!

It's nearly Sunday and that means it's nearly time for the next Boutique Market!  Time to dust off the jewellery tools, gather all those beads that have accumulated over the years and put down the fruit mince tarts.  It's time to do some work and make new pieces.

Look what just arrived from China - jade pendants.  They'll make for some stunning new pieces.  Come to the next market to see what I've created.
